Welcome back to Season 2 of The Inspiring Mums Podcast! After a hiatus over the summer and early Autumn, I’m back with some amazing guests lined up for you.

In this episode, I’m talking with Dr Jemma Andrew- Adiamah - an Empowerment Coach and Mentor for Mums and a mum of 4 herself.

Jemma was so open and honest about her experiences as a mum, and is so passionate about working with mums too. It was so good to share our similar experiences and perspectives on all things motherhood - I just loved this chat!

In this episode we talked about how:

⚡️Jemma’s background as a full time blogger, her PhD and working in medical communications all led her to her career as an Empowerment Coach and Mentor for Mums

⚡Jemma discovered mindset, holistic wellbeing and self-care - and how the ripple effect of focusing on these things affects into the whole of your life

⚡️Jemma studied to be a Coach when she was pregnant with her second child, and set up her coaching business when her daughter was a newborn

⚡️the tough moments when we think - “I can’t do this” -  is what builds our resilience

⚡️ deciding to invest in yourself and work on yourself takes commitment, dedication and time - but when you put that work in, it supports you for the long term and it’s like having your own toolbox of things to support you

⚡️it’s OK to have something for yourself as a mum and there shouldn’t be any shame or judgement around that. Just because you’re a mum it doesn’t mean you forget about yourself.

⚡️self-care doesn’t have to be an action - it can be whatever you want it to be

⚡️ she found the experience going from 2 kids to 4 kids when her twins were born

⚡️becoming a mum of 4 has meant that she’s more self-compassionate, lets go of things more and doesn’t worry about things as much

⚡️ her business saved her sanity, especially in the newborn days with her 2nd child

⚡️ recognising that there are seasons in motherhood, helps you feel more compassionate towards yourself

⚡️ important it is for mums who are struggling to be kind and gentle with themselves

⚡️Jemma’s motto as a mum is “ I can do anything, but I can’t do everything

I hope you enjoy listening!

About me:

I'm Jenna, a mum of three and a Qualified Coach for Mums. I'm on a mission to help as many mums as possible to feel happier and to live a life that feels good to them.

I love working with mums who have unspoken dreams inside of them and who are desperate to bring them to life, but their lack of self-belief holds them back.

It’s about wanting something more.

Whether it’s building a business alongside being a mum, changing your career and following your passions, being creative or just having more time for you - I’m the person to support you with that, so you can actually make it happen!

You have so many ideas of things you’d love to do, things that light you up and make you feel like you, but:

  • you haven’t got the confidence to go for it

  • you can’t see how to get from the idea stage to actually making it happen

  • you don’t know where to start - it all feels too overwhelming

  • you don’t know how to fit all of these things in with your busy life as a mum

  • you are worried that if you do that thing you love, you’ll be judged. Or you’ll fail

Here’s what’s going to make the difference in making your long-held unspoken dreams happen - having someone to:

  • support you

  • cheerlead you and encourage you

  • remind you of your strengths

  • really listen to you and

  • keep you accountable

That’s where I come in!

Let’s work together to supercharge your motivation and make your dreams finally happen - I can’t wait to support you through this new, exciting chapter in your life!
