Loved this Jenna - gosh I so relate to having lots of ideas and not enough time! And also the importance of self-compassion and mistakes being OK. I would love to do a podcast myself but I sadly don't have the time, even though there are so many cool people I'd love to have conversations with... Definitely something for the future. Also Jenna - I can never get over how you have THREE kids and you are also coaching and writing; it is incredible! I have one and find it full-on!xx
Thank you so much for your lovely comment Ellie and for listening to this episode. Yes, ALL the ideas ALWAYS!! That's it, we have to be kind to ourselves because that will actually spur us on, instead of discouraging us. Even realising that actually right now might not be a good time to start something is good too, because it doesn't mean we'll never start it, it's just not right for right now. Oh thank you so much, you are so lovely Ellie - well I feel like I'm behind most of the time, but the chaos is all part of it hey?! You are doing amazing too Ellie, we are in this together xx
Thanks for sharing this episode and welcome back to podcasting! 🙌
It was so lovely to hear your voice and encouragement (I listened in my car on the way home from an appointment) and to feel validated and seen as a mom who also struggles with consistency.
I'm also learning how to live more cyclically and seasonally which is taking some of the pressure off. Grateful to other mums in this space caring for each other as we figure it out together. 💗
Only caught myself yesterday self-criticising on something I didn't get done, when I should've been congratulating and celebrating all that I did achieve. Thanks Jenna
Yes, that's it Katie, it's so easy for us to beat ourselves up and that overshadows everything we have actually done. But if we flip it and congratulate ourselves then that'll actually make us more motivated. Here's to celebrating ourselves more 🙌✨️
Thank you for your lovely comment Mariah and so glad that the topic resonated with you too. The whole consistency thing, like it's a great idea in practice but just not realistic I don't think. It makes a huge difference when we can work with our cycles and the seasons, we can say to ourselves, well of course I have no energy today and I know why. Just knowing that helps with self-compassion I think. ❤️
